Two races a day, first on Saturday at around 11:00, on Sunday at 10:30.
Presently, it is not clear if the 3k's will all be starting together on one start with the Vortices, or whether they will e split into the handicap fleets where they will get more competition. Either way it will be good racing. Forecast is light, but a sea breeze could well kick in given the high temperatures & sunshine.
Can't believe I couldn't make this event. At my home club too!
In the end the V's and Lasers sailed in different fleets, and the V's sailed off the club handicap of 976. This put the V's in the fast handicap fleet and the Lasers in the medium fleet.
Taking the V's results out of the handicap fleet, Tony Hunt with young sailor Matthew Wolstenholme came in 1st place, followed by Peter Heyes and Amy Adams. With only one Laser 3000 sailing, a new boat to the club, Ellie Kift and Oliver Polhill came 10th in the medium fleet. Full results can be found on the Wilsonian SC website here
